Happy Chinese New Year!
Happy Chinese New Year to all Chinese. May you be filled with a piggiful joyful year and prosperity
Went to Penang to visit my relatives. Just to escape the routine visiting around, my parents and my cousin and me went to Penang island to visit my friends (Ken S’ng and Andrea - Thanks for taking me around the island!) and also check out few great places. Among them are the Cheong Fatt Tze mansion (with my parents and cousin) and Snake Temple (with my Penang friends). Wanted to visit Khoo Kongsi but due to lack of time and the need of good food for lunch, we skipped that. Shall made a visit there next time!…
Enjoy the pictures.

Haha nice subjects! Ok now to comment…
Pic 1) Nice subject, good angle but ruined by one factor…exposure….try lifting the exposure a bit from your software and you could easily get a warmer picture…
Alternatively, you can sepia the background and foreground and leave the subject in au-natural colour and it would become a lovely picture!
Pic 2) Snake head - not in main focus point. When I see the picture, first thing i see is the fat body on the right side. It distracts the way you present the photo and it’s different from how you told me about it. If the head was coming further out then it would have been better but animal behavior is always erratic unless there’s food involved.
For me, it’s simple…you took the focus away from the main subject (the head)
Overall..try lifting your eV compensation to +0.7 if you’re at 0.0 eV. You could do with a bit more brightness..i suspect that if I check it on a histogram, it could be left-centric.
